U bend tube is one of components fixed to U bend heat exchangers by flow baffles or tube supports and placed in a shell to control the fluid present in the exterior of the tube assembly. The fluid is guided into the tubes by a head assembly which is fixed to the shell by bolts. Heat exchanger Tube is designed for heat transfer processing for heating, ventilation, cooling, condensation and evaporation of liquids, gases and steams. They are always made with cold finished condition as one of components placed inside the barrel for fabricating the shell & tube, plate & frame heat exchangers, cooling towers, air & seawater coolers, condensers, evaporators, heaters and re-heaters, etc.
Features
Ideal heat transfer performance: due to the excellent performance of stainless steel material and the use of thin-walled tubes with smooth inner walls to enhance the heat transfer effect.It has a high thermal conductivity and good isothermal.
High Safety: High temperature steam resistance, corrosion resistance and strong vibration resistance.
Processing Description
All U bend tubes' wall thining at the bend to be <17% of original tube wall thickness.
All U bend tubes' ovality at the bend to be <10% of original tube outside diameter.
After bending, solution annealing shall be carried out for those items, bend radius < 5D. The heating shall be done by electric resistance heating in a protective atmosphere and followed by rapid quenching.
Scale formed during the heat treatment shall be removed by pickling or polishing inside and outside surfaces.
All U bend tubes bends to be supplied with correct leg lengths,cut square and de-burred.
After bending, solution annealing and pickling, all U-tube shall be hydro tested.
On completion and final inspection, all U-tubes to be tagged with row number and packed in steel structure with plywood
